New MVAHG Chair
We are delighted to announce that David Griffiths, who chaired our 2025 AGM, has now formally taken on the role of Chair of the Trustees. David takes over from Guy Liardet who held the position for nine years, stepping down at our AGM in April 2024. David has lived in the Meon Valley for the last 15 years and has been actively involved with MVAHG since 2016, beginning with the dig of the Roman Temple at Exton. He became an advisor to the group in January 2025 and has been working with the team to find other areas of interest in our region. This is starting to bear fruit with surveys in a new area last November.

Geophysical Surveys
Our Autumn/Winter programme of geophysical surveys at our new site continues over three weekends in February and March 2026.
